Acrylic
Acrylic is one of the most popular materials used with laser systems,
because it comes in a wide variety of colors and textures (i.e., frosted or
reflective) and can be engraved and cut easily into a wide variety of shapes
and sizes. Acrylic provides a more predictable effect than crystal and glass,
and can be relatively inexpensive.
Acrylic comes in two forms: Cast and Extruded, depending on the production
process. Usually the Cast are more common, and its prices are a bit lower. The
following is LaserPro Application Lab comparison of these two forms.
